EPA Stationary Spark Ignition (40 CFR 60 Subpart JJJJ) is the gaseous-fuel counterpart to the diesel Tier rules. Compliance is typically achieved with a 3-way catalyst and engine calibration — no DPF, no SCR, no DEF. This makes natural-gas and propane standby a substantially simpler operational story than EPA Tier 4 Final diesel for sites where utility gas is available.
