How We Got Here
OnPoint Generators (previously Conte’s Generator Service & PowerGen) came under new ownership and management in 2024, built on the foundations of predecessor companies with deep roots in the backup power industry.
Victor Poley founded PowerGen in 2016 after more than 30 years as a generator industry veteran. PowerGen quickly became a trusted name in commercial and industrial emergency standby power across Northern California and Nevada. PowerGen now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of OnPoint, focused on commercial and industrial emergency standby power. Victor transitioned to OnPoint in 2024 and remains as an advisor.
Frank Conte led Conte’s Generator for 40 years, building a reputation for reliable residential and light commercial generator service on the Central Coast and Bay Area. Frank joined OnPoint in 2024 and continues as an advisor.
Today, OnPoint Generators combines the expertise of both legacy companies under new ownership that brings management, finance, and technology experience from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Together with PowerGen, OnPoint delivers a modern, technology-driven service company with old-school craftsmanship and client care.
