The TAD1180VE's 10.8L displacement is unique to the T4D Tier 4 Final lineup. It demonstrates how Tier 4 Final engine engineering differs from Tier III: more displacement (10.8L vs. 7.0L Perkins) for the same kW output, running at lower specific loading with better fuel efficiency. The result: 11.6 gal/hr vs. 15.6 gal/hr for the Tier III SPD-2000 at the same 200 kW.
