Blue Star NG1050-01P
1050 kW standby / 900 kW prime · Natural Gas / LPG · Liquid-cooled
900 kW prime-rated natural gas / LP generator from Blue Star Power Systems. PSI 53L V16 turbocharged-aftercooled, DSE DCP7310 controller, three-phase 480-4160V.
The Blue Star NG1050-01P is the prime-rated variant of the NG1050-01, delivering 900 kWe continuously on natural gas (575 kWe on LP). It uses the identical PSI 53L V16 platform and physical enclosure as the standby NG1050-01. Three-phase 480V, 600V, and 4160V only — no 208V or 240V. The NG1050-01P carries a 1-year / 1,500-hour prime warranty. UL 2200 listing applies through 600VAC; 4160V is not UL-listed.
Both share the same OPU footprint (252×106×117 in, 25,860 lbs), DSE DCP7310 controller, and 30 in. WC fuel pressure requirement. Note that the deration thresholds are identical for standby and prime — the 53L V16 does not gain the extended prime deration seen on smaller models.
Service procedures are identical to the NG1050-01 standby. Prime-duty use on a 16-cylinder engine means substantially higher hour accumulation — budget for an aggressive spark plug and ignition coil schedule per PSI's prime-duty maintenance specification.

Estimate runtime on this tank
Fuel demand at 75% load
11,025,000 BTU/hr≈ 11025.0 cf/min @ 1,000 BTU/cf
On utility natural gas the runtime is generally unlimited provided the supply line and meter can deliver this BTU/hr at the engine's required inlet pressure (typically 5–14" WC residential, up to 5 psi commercial). Confirm against the OEM's published fuel-pressure spec.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the prime rating of the NG1050-01P?
The Blue Star NG1050-01P is rated 900 kWe prime on natural gas and 575 kWe prime on LP at 60 Hz / 1800 RPM, backed by a 1-year / 1,500-hour prime warranty. The paired standby unit is the NG1050-01 at 1,050 kWe NG / 700 kWe LP standby.
How does fuel consumption compare between NG1050-01 and NG1050-01P?
At 100% load: NG1050-01 standby consumes 12,531 ft³/hr NG (1,050 kW); NG1050-01P prime consumes 10,930 ft³/hr NG (900 kW). LP at 100% prime is 3,208 ft³/hr vs. 3,867 ft³/hr at standby. The 30 in. WC fuel pressure requirement applies to both units.
What are the deration thresholds for the NG1050-01P?
The NG1050-01P prime uses the same deration base as the standby: 0.8% per 5°F above 77°F inlet air and 2.5% per 1,000 ft above 1,200 ft altitude. Unlike some smaller Blue Star prime variants that have improved deration tolerance, the 53L prime and standby share identical thresholds.
Is the 4160V configuration on the NG1050-01P UL-listed?
No. UL 2200, cUL, and CSA certifications apply through 600VAC only for both the NG1050-01 and the NG1050-01P. The 4160V configuration (Stamford MVWI734F) is not UL-listed.
