Overview#
The Cummins C3250 D6 is a 3250 kW standby diesel generator set powered by the QSK95-G2 -- a 95-liter, V-16 diesel engine. Rated at 4063 kVA standby and 3700 kVA prime at 60 Hz, the C3250 D6 occupies the mid-range of the QSK95 mega-diesel platform, balancing output with operational headroom.
At 3.25 MW per unit, the C3250 D6 is a building block for hyperscale data center power plants. Four units in a paralleling array deliver 13 MW of standby capacity with N+1 redundancy at the 3-unit load level. The QSK95-G2 platform's 95 liters of displacement ensure the engine runs well within its thermal limits at the 3250 kW calibration.
Full Cummins vertical integration covers engine, alternator, PowerCommand controls, and cooling. Medium-voltage output (4160V, 12470V, 13800V) is standard. Fuel consumption runs approximately 228 gallons per hour at full rated load, with a 40,000-hour major overhaul interval under standard standby duty.
