Overview#
The Cummins C3000 D6 is a 3000 kW (3 MW) standby diesel generator set powered by the QSK95-G2 -- a 95-liter, V-16 diesel engine. Rated at 3750 kVA standby and 3413 kVA prime at 60 Hz, the C3000 D6 is the entry point to Cummins' largest displacement mega-diesel platform, delivering 3 MW from a single engine.
The QSK95-G2 is Cummins' flagship diesel engine for power generation, with 95 liters of displacement providing substantial thermal headroom for sustained operation at the 3 MW level. Hyperscale data centers and large industrial complexes specify 3 MW genset modules as building blocks for 12-30 MW paralleling arrays with N+1 or 2N redundancy. The C3000 D6 delivers this capacity with full Cummins vertical integration.
Medium-voltage output options (4160V, 12470V, 13800V) are standard for this power class. PowerCommand 2.3/3.3 paralleling controllers enable multi-genset arrays with load management, protective relaying, and utility paralleling capability. Fuel consumption runs approximately 210 gallons per hour at full rated load.
