Overview#
The Cummins C200D6 is a 200 kW commercial standby diesel generator powered by the Cummins QSB7-G5 engine — a higher-output variant of the 6.7-liter inline-6 QSB7 platform. Delivering three-phase 277/480V power at 60 Hz, the C200D6 serves larger commercial buildings, multi-tenant retail, hospitality properties, and light industrial facilities that need more capacity than the 150 kW class provides.
The QSB7-G5 uses the same proven 6.7-liter inline-6 architecture as the C150D6 but with enhanced turbocharging and fueling calibration to achieve the 200 kW standby rating. This shared platform means service procedures, parts inventories, and technician training carry over directly between the 150 kW and 200 kW models, simplifying fleet management for operators who specify multiple Cummins commercial generators across their building portfolios.
The C200D6 features the Cummins PowerCommand controller with digital paralleling capability, enabling multi-unit configurations for facilities that need redundancy or scalable capacity. The generator accepts 100% rated load in a single step per NFPA 110 and is available in open-skid, sound-attenuated, and weather-protective enclosure options to match site requirements.
