Overview#

The Kohler KD800 is an 800-kilowatt diesel industrial standby generator from Kohler's KD Series platform. Powered by the Kohler KD27V12 — a 27-litre V12 diesel engine rated at 1195 BHP — the KD800 delivers reliable backup power for data centers, healthcare facilities, and large commercial buildings. The engine is compatible with HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) renewable diesel fuel.

KD Series platform#

The KD Series is Kohler's large industrial diesel generator line, covering 700 to 4000 kW. Designed for mission-critical facilities, every KD Series unit carries UL 2200 listing and meets NFPA 110 Level 1 requirements when equipped with the necessary accessories. Hurricane-rated enclosures with 186 mph wind load ratings are available across the platform.
