Overview#
The Echo DGK15FL is the large-fuel-tank variant of the DGK15F, delivering 15 kVA (12 kW prime) with dramatically extended runtime between refueling stops. The 60-gallon integral fuel tank provides approximately 48 hours of continuous full-load operation — over six times the runtime of the standard DGK15F's 9.62-gallon tank. Powered by the same proven Kubota D902 three-cylinder diesel engine, the DGK15FL features patented SimulPhase technology for simultaneous single-phase and three-phase output. Built in Japan by Yamabiko Corporation (formerly Shindaiwa). Tier 4 Final and CARB compliant with S.E.T. Smart Emissions Technology.
Extended Runtime: The DGK15FL Advantage#
The defining feature of the DGK15FL is its 60-gallon fuel tank, which transforms the 15 kVA platform from a day-shift generator into a multi-day power source. At 1.24 gallons per hour full-load consumption, operators can run for approximately 48 continuous hours without refueling — covering a full weekend of construction work or multiple overnight shifts at remote sites. The larger tank adds weight (1,190 lbs wet vs. 926 lbs dry for the standard DGK15F) and modest physical dimensions (52.1 x 27.8 x 50.2 inches), but the runtime gain is substantial for applications where fuel logistics are a concern.
Our Service Experience#
As authorized service providers in Northern California, we maintain Echo DGK Series generators across the Bay Area and Central Valley. The DGK15FL is our recommended variant for rental fleets and contractors who need unattended overnight or weekend power — the 60-gallon tank eliminates the need for fuel delivery during extended operations. The Kubota D902 engine is shared with the standard DGK15F, so parts and service procedures are identical. Service intervals remain straightforward at 250-hour oil changes and 500-hour filter replacements. Echo's 3-year warranty — the longest in the portable class — reflects Yamabiko's confidence in the Shindaiwa engineering heritage behind every unit.
