Overview#

The Waukesha P9394GSI is the flagship of the VHP line — a 16-cylinder, 93.9-liter natural gas engine producing up to 2,500 HP (1,865 kW). As the newest addition to INNIO's VHP Series Five platform, the P9394GSI represents the largest rich-burn gas engine available from INNIO Waukesha. This is a prime power and continuous duty engine built for demanding, high-uptime applications — it is not designed for standby or backup service.

The P9394GSI is deployed in large-scale combined heat and power (CHP) installations, utility peaking plants, and industrial cogeneration facilities where maximum power output from a single gas engine is required. The 4160V primary output voltage enables direct integration with medium-voltage plant distribution systems. INNIO's Series Five controls platform provides advanced engine management, remote diagnostics, and emissions optimization for compliance with current and anticipated regulatory requirements.

OnPoint services Waukesha P9394GSI installations with comprehensive maintenance programs, major overhauls, emissions system support, and control system integration. Given the scale and criticality of P9394GSI installations, we work with facility operators to develop customized preventive maintenance schedules that maximize uptime and extend time between overhauls.

Estimate runtime for the Waukesha P9394GSI

Adjust load percent and tank size to estimate runtime. Pre-filled with this model's spec where available.

Estimate runtime on this tank

Fuel demand at 75% load

19,582,500 BTU/hr19582.5 cf/min @ 1,000 BTU/cf

On utility natural gas the runtime is generally unlimited provided the supply line and meter can deliver this BTU/hr at the engine's required inlet pressure (typically 5–14" WC residential, up to 5 psi commercial). Confirm against the OEM's published fuel-pressure spec.
