Overview#
The Triton Power TP-JD200-T4F is a 200 kW (250 kVA) diesel standby generator powered by the John Deere 6068CG550 turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 6.8 L displacement. This unit represents the top of the 6068 platform lineup for Triton, paired with the larger Leroy Somer LSA46.3 alternator frame to handle the increased electrical output. The engine meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards, and the 800-liter (212-gallon) integral fuel tank supports extended runtime.
At 66 dBA, the TP-JD200-T4F delivers 200 kW class power while maintaining manageable noise levels for commercial installations. Available in 120/208V and 277/480V three-phase configurations, the unit serves larger commercial facilities, industrial operations, and data centers requiring reliable backup power.
Our service experience#
The 200 kW class is a high-demand segment for commercial standby generators, and the John Deere 6068 platform competes directly with Cummins QSB6.7 and Volvo TAD734GE-powered alternatives. The TP-JD200-T4F offers a cost advantage over Cummins and Kohler equivalents while leveraging the same widely-serviced engine platform. The step up from the LSA44.3 to the LSA46.3 alternator frame at 200 kW provides additional thermal headroom, which we find translates to longer alternator life under sustained standby loading.
