Overview#
The Triton Power TP-H900-T2-UL is a 900 kW class diesel standby generator powered by the Hyundai DP222CC turbocharged V-8 engine with 21.9 L displacement. Rated at 898 kW / 1123 kVA standby and 812 kW / 1015 kVA prime, this is the largest Hyundai-powered unit in Triton's lineup. It carries UL2200 listing and meets EPA Tier 2 emissions standards for stationary emergency standby.
Paired with a Leroy Somer alternator, the TP-H900-T2-UL delivers three-phase power at 120/208V and 277/480V configurations. The Hyundai DP222CC is the higher-output variant of the same 21.9 L V-8 platform used in the 800 kW model, providing nearly 100 kW additional capacity from the same engine block. This unit targets large commercial facilities, data centers, and industrial complexes requiring high-capacity backup power.
Our service experience#
The DP222CC shares the same engine block, filters, and core components as the DP222CB in the 800 kW model, making it easy for shops to service both units from the same parts inventory. At nearly 900 kW from a single engine, this unit competes with Perkins 4008-TAG and MTU offerings at a competitive price point. The UL2200 listing makes it straightforward to specify for code-compliant emergency standby installations.
