Blue Star NG600-01
600 kW standby / 540 kW prime · Natural Gas / LPG · Liquid-cooled
600 kW natural gas / LP standby generator from Blue Star Power Systems. PSI 32L V12 turbocharged-aftercooled, DSE DCP7310 controller, three-phase 208-600V.
The Blue Star NG600-01 is a 600-kilowatt natural gas / LP standby generator built on the PSI 32-liter V12 platform. It is rated 600 kWe standby on natural gas and 400 kWe on LP at 60 Hz / 1800 RPM. The NG600-01 shares its engine platform (PSI 32L V12) with the NG500-01 and NG650-01, in the same 210×96×103 in OPU footprint. Three-phase only (208V, 240V, 480V, 600V).
The NG600-01 uses intermediate deration thresholds specific to this output level:
Temperature: derate 1.5% per 5°F above 87°F inlet air temperature
Altitude: derate 6% per 1,000 ft above 2,200 ft
This is more tolerant than the standard 77°F / 1,200 ft thresholds, but less so than the NG500-01's exceptional 97°F / 4,200 ft. For high-altitude or high-ambient sites above these limits, consult factory or consider the NG500-01 platform.
All configurations carry 125°C standby temperature rise and ±0.5% voltage regulation. Note that the 208V and 240V configurations use the S6L1D-C alternator — a different frame than the HCI534 series used at 480V and 600V.
The PSI 32L V12 is shared across the NG500/600/650 standby lineup. Service intervals and procedures are the same across this family. The S6L1D-C alternator used at 208V and 240V is a different frame from the HCI534 series — note this when ordering parts or alternator accessories for lower-voltage configurations.

Adjust load percent and tank size to estimate runtime. Pre-filled with this model's spec where available.
Estimate runtime on this tank
Fuel demand at 75% load
6,300,000 BTU/hr≈ 6300.0 cf/min @ 1,000 BTU/cf
On utility natural gas the runtime is generally unlimited provided the supply line and meter can deliver this BTU/hr at the engine's required inlet pressure (typically 5–14" WC residential, up to 5 psi commercial). Confirm against the OEM's published fuel-pressure spec.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the standby rating of the NG600-01?
The Blue Star NG600-01 is rated 600 kWe standby on natural gas and 400 kWe standby on LP at 60 Hz / 1800 RPM. Deration thresholds for the NG600-01 are: 1.5% per 5°F above 87°F inlet air temperature and 6% per 1,000 ft above 2,200 ft altitude — intermediate between standard (77°F / 1,200 ft) and the extended tolerances of the NG500-01 (97°F / 4,200 ft).
What engine is in the NG600-01?
The PSI 32L — a 31.8-liter (1,941 cu in) V12 turbocharged-aftercooled spark-ignition engine producing 966 bHp (721 kWm) at 1800 RPM standby. The same engine platform is used in the NG500-01 and NG650-01, tuned for different output levels by the generator control system.
How do the NG600-01 deration thresholds compare to other models?
The NG600-01 uses intermediate deration thresholds: 87°F inlet air (vs. 77°F standard and 97°F for NG500-01) and 2,200 ft altitude (vs. 1,200 ft standard and 4,200 ft for NG500-01). The prime variant NG600-01P shifts these slightly: 87°F / 3,000 ft. Consult factory for operation above these thresholds or on LP fuel.
Is the NG600-01 available in single-phase?
No. The NG600-01 is three-phase only in 208V, 240V, 480V, and 600V configurations.
