Overview#
The Katolight D60 is a 60 kW diesel standby generator powered by a John Deere 4045TF150 engine — a 4.5-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel that was a workhorse of the light-commercial generator market. This unit was part of Katolight's John Deere Diesel Series, which covered the 15-200 kW range and represented the brand's most popular configuration for small commercial and institutional applications.
Katolight is a discontinued brand, acquired by MTU (now Rolls-Royce Power Systems) in 2006 and rebranded as MTU Onsite Energy. No new Katolight units are manufactured, but a significant installed base remains in service across North America. The John Deere 4045 engine platform has one of the strongest aftermarket parts networks in the industry, making these units straightforward to maintain indefinitely.
OnPoint provides full maintenance and repair services for existing Katolight D60 installations, including preventive maintenance, engine overhauls, control system upgrades, and emergency service. If you have a Katolight unit in the field, we can keep it running reliably for years to come.
