Overview#
The Triton Power TP-NG40-S-K-UL is a 40 kW natural gas standby generator powered by a PSI (Power Solutions International) 4.3L naturally aspirated V-6 engine at 1800 RPM. Part of Triton's EPA-certified natural gas generator lineup, this unit is UL2200 listed for the US and Canadian markets and pairs with a Leroy Somer Class H insulation alternator. The TP-NG40 delivers 40 kW standby and 34 kW prime power, making it suitable for small to mid-size commercial and light industrial standby applications.
The PSI 4.3L engine platform is designed from the ground up for gaseous fuel operation, offering reliable combustion characteristics and low maintenance requirements compared to converted diesel engines. Available in single-phase and three-phase configurations, the TP-NG40 supports 120/208V, 120/240V, and 277/480V output. Sound levels are rated at 64 dBA, allowing installation in noise-sensitive commercial environments.
